Last-minute shows are often the best ones, so don’t miss this unique event!
Drowning Pool are one of the pillars of the American alternative metal wave from the turn of the millennium. The band left a lasting mark on the genre with their platinum debut Sinner (2001), which defined the sound of aggressive radio rotations and festival stages at the time. Their key single “Bodies,” with its iconic, gradually building vocal intro, still works as a reliable trigger for mosh pits all over the world. The group went through a difficult period after the tragic death of original frontman Dave Williams, but managed to survive the blow of fate and maintain their signature straightforward sound built on heavy, downtuned riffs from guitarist C. J. Pierce and driving rhythm sections.
The current club tour catches Drowning Pool in their most stable lineup yet – with Ryan McCombs once again firmly behind the microphone. He previously recorded the acclaimed albums Full Circle and Drowning Pool with the band, and his raspy, southern-rock-tinged vocal style adds raw energy and grit to both classic tracks and newer material. No big production tricks, just pure American sound up close. For fans of the early 2000s era and lovers of honest groove metal riffs, this is an obvious choice – warm up your vocal cords, Žilina will be jumping from the very first minute.
