1914, SUPPORT - Bratislava
23 / 09 / 2026 / BRATISLAVA / RANDAL
Ukrainian artillery division 1914 is returning to the Czech-Slovak front! Ostrava and Bratislava are about to witness an uncompromising lesson in the history of the Great War, delivered by masters of blackened death/doom. No glorification, no theatrics—just the raw mud of the trenches and crushing steel.
Formed in Lviv exactly one hundred years after the outbreak of the First World War, the five-piece has earned a reputation as one of the most distinctive acts on the extreme metal scene. Rather than resorting to cheap glorification of violence, their music serves as a meticulously crafted sonic document of the conflict. Musically, 1914 masterfully blends the relentless blast beats and aggression of black metal with the crushing weight of funeral doom and the rolling power of old-school death metal. The result is further enhanced by authentic audio samples—period speeches, military marches, and the clatter of field equipment—that give their recordings a chilling, cinematic atmosphere.
The band's live performance draws heavily from their landmark albums The Blind Leading the Blind and Where Fear and Weapons Meet. Tracks such as “Fn. 380 (Asmca)” and “Don't Tread on Me” demonstrate how historical events and the stories of individual soldiers can be woven seamlessly into extreme metal without sacrificing intensity or impact. 1914 doesn't put on a theatrical show—they deliver a brutal reconstruction of history that sends shivers down your spine. Stock up on ammunition—the autumn offensive at Barrák and Randal will spare no one.
