THE HALO EFFECT, HIRAES - Bratislava

During the pandemic in 2020, five legends of the local melodic death metal scene in Gothenburg, Sweden, joined forces to form The Halo Effect. Comprised of members from In Flames and Dark Tranquillity, the band continues the legacy of the Gothenburg Sound, a movement they helped define in the '90s.

The Halo Effect consists of guitarists Jesper Strömblad and Niclas Engelin, charismatic vocalist Mikael Stanne, and a solid rhythm section featuring bassist Peter Iwers and drummer Daniel Svensson. They have released two albums, with their latest, March Of The Unheard, dropping in January of this year. Fans can catch them live on Sunday, August 10, at Majestic Club in Bratislava.
