OBSCURA, SUICIDAL ANGELS, SADIST - Bratislava

The German technical death metal powerhouse Obscura is heading to our region this fall! Masters of the craft, known for combining brutal intensity, technical precision, and elements of progressive metal, will perform on September 15th at Randal Club in Bratislava.

Formed in 2002 in Landshut, Germany, under the leadership of guitarist and vocalist Steffen Kummerer, Obscura has always aimed to push the boundaries of extreme music—both technically and conceptually. Their work fuses crushing riffs with progressive structures, melodic passages, and philosophical or scientific themes, which has helped them build a loyal global fanbase.

Obscura’s discography includes several albums that have become staples of technical death metal, such as the critically acclaimed Cosmogenesis, Omnivium, and Diluvium. Each album represents a new step forward—be it in composition, sound, or conceptual depth. Their music is known for its complexity, virtuosic instrumental performances, and uncompromising intensity. It’s no surprise that Obscura is considered one of the most important and influential acts in modern technical death metal.

Joining Obscura at both shows will be the Greek thrashers SUICIDAL ANGELS – a band well-loved by Czech fans.

Completing the lineup is the Italian band Sadist, which has been blending technical death metal with progressive and atmospheric elements since the early ’90s. With their mix of technical precision, dark melodies, and complex compositions, Sadist remains one of the most intriguing acts on the European extreme music scene.
