HYPOCRISY, ABBATH, VOMITORY, VREID - Bratislava

12 / 04 / 2026 / BRATISLAVA / MAJESTIC MUSIC CLUB

Swedish death metal veterans Hypocrisy are heading to Bratislava! The band, led by the charismatic frontman Peter Tägtgren, brings their original take on death metal infused with mystical and sci-fi themes. Support will come from Abbath, Vomitory, and Vreid.

Formed in 1991 in the Swedish town of Ludvika, Hypocrisy quickly became known for their dark, aggressive sound that blends fast death metal riffs with cold, atmospheric production. Their debut album Penetralia (1992) already proved that Hypocrisy were far more than just another death metal project — they were a band with a clear vision and the ability to craft haunting, dense music that leaves a lasting impact.

One of Hypocrisy’s trademarks is their fascination with extraterrestrial life, conspiracies, and the supernatural. These mystical and sci-fi elements run throughout their lyrics and visuals, giving the band a distinctive identity within the death metal scene. Musically, Hypocrisy have evolved from the raw, fast-paced style of their early years to the more melodic and technical approach heard on albums like Abducted (1996), and finally to the rich atmosphere and modern production of their later works, such as End of Disclosure (2021).

Supporting them will be Abbath — Norwegian black metal masters led by the legendary Abbath Doom Occulta, founder and former frontman of Immortal. The band delivers aggressive, icy riffs, signature high-pitched vocals, and an energy that fuses classic Norwegian black metal with modern influences. Their music remains true to the harsh, dark sound of the Nordic scene while offering catchy and epic melodies that appeal to both old-school and new-generation fans.

Next up are Swedish death metal veterans Vomitory, known for their relentless aggression that runs through every note of their music. Expect crushing riffs, guttural growls, and raw, unfiltered intensity.

The lineup is completed by Vreid — a Norwegian black/thrash metal powerhouse. Their music merges the cold atmosphere of black metal with energetic thrash riffs and strong melodic hooks, often touching on themes of history, war, and personal reflection.
