The English jazz-rock group Manfred Mann’s Earth Band, founded by South African musician Manfred Mann in 1971 after the breakup of his earlier band Manfred Mann, is returning to the Czech Republic and Slovakia this spring after a long eleven years.
The band will play three exclusive shows that will bring together several generations of fans: at Prague’s ROXY (all standing, with reduced capacity), at the beautifully crafted Sono in Brno (seated + standing “pit”), and at Bratislava’s MAJESTIC, which will be fully arranged for seated audiences.
An impressive piece of trivia: Manfred Mann were the very first well-known Western rock band to perform in former Czechoslovakia, appearing at the Jazz Days festival in 1965!
